Elizabeth McCarty Leverett

Mrs. Elizabeth McCarty Leverett, 81, of Barnesville passed away Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013, at Upson Regional Hospital in Thomaston.She was born June 17, 1932 in Yatesville, daughter of James Edward and Beulah Barfield McCarty. Mrs. Leverett was a member of Yatesville Baptist Church. She retired from the William Carter Company with more than 50 years of service. She loved cooking and her caring for her family.Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Mike Sr. and Emily Leverett of Barnesville; grandsons and granddaughters-in-law, Mike Jr. and Karen Leverett of Forsyth and Scott and Robin Leverett of Barnesville; great-grandchildren, Marcelene Leverett, Maradeth Leverett, Ella Bleu Leverett and Barron Leverett; and a brother, Bobby McCarty.She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Leverett.Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Breedlove Memorial Chapel with Rev. Garth Forster officiating. Interment was at Lamar Memory Gardens.
