Ellis Spencer Burch

Mr. Ellis Spencer Burch, age 77, of Barnesville passed away Thursday, Nov. 27, 2014 at his residence. A native of Coffee County, Mr. Burch had made his home in Barnesville for a number of years. He was retired as an officer from Norfolk Southern Railways and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Barnesville. Survivors include his beloved wife of 56 years, Bennie Burch of Barnesville; one son, Clay Burch of Barnesville; one daughter, Aleasha Burch of Barnesville; his future son-in-law, Matt Daniel of Barnesville; one brother, Leon Burch (and Alene) of Douglas; one sister, Dewilda Wood of Griffin; two brothers-in-law, Wayne Pierce (and Dianne) of Loganville and Troy Pierce Jr. (and Dee) of Sautee, Ga.; a number of nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog Buddy. Funeral services for Mr. Ellis Burch were conducted Sunday, Nov. 30, 2014 at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home with the Rev. Garth Forster officiating. Interment followed in Greenwood Cemetery. The family received friends at the Williams Funeral Home on Sunday, Nov. 30, 2014 from 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. immediately prior to the service.
