Well-known local painter Bill Emerson is home recuperating from injuries he suffered in an auto accident last week at the intersection of highways 341 and 18 here. Margaret Emerson reported this morning that her husband underwent surgery for a broken upper jaw last week. He also suffered fractures to several bones in his sinuses. ”He is expected to make a full recovery and did not lose his eyesight,” Margaret Emerson said.
