Shane and Amanda Melton of Barnesville announce the birth of their daughter Emma Kate Melton Thursday, March 14, 2013 at 4:12 p.m. at Spalding Regional Medical Center. She weighed 8 pounds 4 ounces and was 21 inches long. She has a sister Madison Melton, 3. Maternal grandparents are Paul and Nan Schmidt of Barnesville. Paternal grandparents are Larry and Kathy Melton of Rockmart. Paternal great-grandparents are John and Mary Ann Wiggley of Dallas.
