Escapee still at large, perimeter in place

UPDATE: 8:45 a.m. Department of Corrections officers still have a perimeter in place and are taking warrants on Coe. He is still at large. UPDATE 8:15 a.m., at daylight Eric Kenneth Coe, 19, was still at large. He is 5’11” tall and weighs 158 pounds. He has less hair than shown in this photo. Local and state law enforcement officers continue to search for him. UPDATE: At 11:25 p.m., the searches in all locations had been for naught. UPDATE: Following a sighting by a citizen of a white male dressed all in white near a woodline, some units have moved into the area of Pine and Poplar streets and Memorial Drive in Barnesviille to search as of 10:25 p.m. Wednesday. Sheriff Brad White said the investigation into the reliability of the report was ongoing though search dogs were deployed. He suggested residents keep home and vehicle doors and windows secured. BPD chief Chuck Keadle said the search would continue through the night until the Department of Corrections called it off. Again, the escapee, Eric Kenneth Coe, was incarcerated for violating his probation on theft charges. He is not thought to be violent but all precautions should be taken anytime an inmate is on the run. Any suspicious activity should immediately be reported by calling 911.
