Mrs. Eva Mae Jordan Harden, age 88 who resided at 131 Johnson St. in Barnesville passed away on Wednesday, May 30, at the Heritage Inn Nursing Home.The family may be contacted at her residence.Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 5, at 1 p.m. from the East Mt. Sinai Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Sugar Hill AME Cemetery of Lamar County. Rev. Jimmy Lyons is pastor and Rev. Shawn Drains will be the eulogist.Mrs. Harden is survived by 11 children, Eugene Harden (Jean) of Griffin, Ga., James Hardin (Patricia) of Decatur, Ga., Evelou Bloodser and Earlie Harden Jr. of Barnesville, Ga., Lois McCowen of Atlanta, Ga., Johnny Harden (Annie) of Barnesville, Jesse Harden of Smyrna, Ga., Andrew Harden (Deborah), Morris Harden (Lisa), Horace Harden and Mattie Brownlee all of Barnesville, Ga.; grandchildren, Carrie “Poot” Brooks, Tomeshya “Meet” Jones and Jerelynn “Red” Sullivan; three generations of grandchildren; sisters and brother, Jesse Pearl Bankston of Dayton, Ohio, Lillie Ruth Jackson, Minnie B. McMullins and Bobby Jackson (Ruth Ann), all of Barnesville, Ga.; an uncle, Deacon Corey “Shag” Hugh of Barnesville; sisters-in-law, Lucille Phillips of New Jersey; Essie High of Culloden, Ga., Mary Well Berry of Williamson, Ga., and Marie Hardin of Barnesville; and a host of other relatives and close friends that will miss her dearly.
