Evelyn Cason Wheeler, 84, died April 27, 2013 in Griffin, Ga., after a short illness. The daughter of Junius and Evelyn Collier Cason, she grew up in Barnesville, Ga., and graduated from Gordon Military Institute and Wesleyan College. She lived most of her life in Fort Myers, Fla. Survivors are a son, Joseph C. Wheeler and his wife Lois of Jacksonville, Fla.; a daughter, Susan W. Walter of Barnesville, and three grandsons, Chris Walter and his wife Ursula of Atlanta, David Walter and his wife Samantha of Boulder, Col., and Matthew Walter of Athens. A memorial service was held Saturday, June 8, 2013 at St. Hilary Episcopal Church in Fort Myers, Fla.
