The BPD and United Bank have issued an alert regarding counterfeit $100 bills circulating in the community. Three local businesses have had such bills passed on to them. The serial numbers on the bills are DF51507144B and HF36083620E. United Bank’s Kim Scott says a counterfeit detection marker will mark the bills as fake. There are no holograms or magnetic strips on the bills. If you or your business receive such a bill, call BPD at 770.358.1244 or dial 911.
