Farewell to a little woman with a big impact

PedrottiShe may be just over five feet in her size-six heels, but Gordon interim president Shelley Nickel stands tall in the estimation of her students, and leaves big footprints as she departs the college this year.Last Wednesday the Student Government Association and several campus clubs got together to give a surprise party for Nickel, who said she was apprehensive when SGA president Chris Childress told her ‘there’s something we need to talk to you about’ to get her to the Student Center.’I thought you might be complaining, or in here smoking,’ Nickel joked. ‘I’m overwhelmed that you did this for me. It’s awesome.’
