From the dueling Red Hat trees to the intricately beautiful wreaths, the first Festival of Trees last Saturday drew nothing but praise from those attending. Sponsored by the Barnesville Women’s League, the festival was a new event for 2011 and may be held every other year, said league president Deedra Lanier. She predicted the Tour of Homes would be back in 2012, depending on participation, but the festival will definitely come back again.
