The Lamar County Trojans toppled Upson Lee 37-0 in a pre-season scrimmage at Matthews Field in Thomaston. This will be the first meeting between the Trojans and Knights since 2003 when they met in a pre-season scrimmage in Thomaston with Upson-Lee winning 12-3. Upson-Lee went 3-7 last year while Lamar County finished 7-4. Tonight’s scrimmage will be played like a regular game except for the kicking game which will be simulated. The junior varsity teams will play the first quarter and the varsity squads will play the final three. Admission to tonight’s scrimmage Matthews Field will be five dollars.
