Fire destroys Crawford Road home

Fire destroyed a home at 1705 Crawford Road here Thursday evening. The home, owned by Herman Coffey, was fully involved when firefighters arrived, according to fire chief Douglas Matthews.The home was a total loss but there were no injuries. A cooking fire was the original cause of the fire, Matthews added.The original 911 call came in at 7:48 p.m.
