City firefighters, backed up by their county allies, were battling a blaze on Stafford Ave. in Barnesville, Wednesday afternoon. The home, located at 161 Stafford, is that of Martha MacFadyen. The fire seemed to be extinguished quickly but there was some smoke and water damage.
