First United Methodist Church is deploying flocks of pink flamingoes to help raise disaster relief funds to aid those impacted by Hurricane Dorian. ‘We hope this will go community-wide not just church-wide,’ organizer Cyndy Roberts said. You can have a flock arrayed in a friend or relative’s yard for a donation of $10. They can pay $10 to have the flock removed and another $10 to find out who ‘˜flocked’ them. A donation of $30 will provide you and your yard with flock insurance to help you avoid the tackiness.Donors are also encouraged to feed the flock with any donation and 100% of the money will go to the disaster relief fund.
