The Lamar County Health Department has flu vaccines available in shot and mist form and will be taking immunizations to Lamar schools this month. Health department staff will be giving seasonal flu vaccine Monday, Oct. 18, at the high school; Tuesday, Oct. 19, at the elementary school; Wednesday, Oct. 20, at the middle school; and Thursday, Oct. 21, at the primary school. Consent forms for obtaining flu vaccine at school have been sent home with students. Parents should complete the form with a signature and return them to the school before Oct. 13.
