Hope Tree Ministries will host an open house at its new food bank building on Friday, Sept. 13 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. The building is located at 199 Carleeta St. in Barnesville. The food bank will open its doors to patrons the following day. The opening is a dream come true for founder Rev. Jimmy Fambro who started the ministry over 20 years ago. ’This all came about thanks to the caring citizens of Lamar County. I am overjoyed we have a place to call home. Over the years, we have borrowed space in many locations,’ Fambro said. Non-perishable food items are needed to fill the shelves in the new building.
