The 2011 Lamar County High School football team will take its final bow Thursday night as the Trojans hold their annual awards ceremony, The event is set to take place at the Lamar County Fine Arts Center beginning at 6:30 p.m. All players from the 12-1 Region 4-AA champion varsity team to the 6-2 Central Georgia Middle School Athletic League runner-up middle school team will be honored. All-State, All-Region and All-Middle Georgia players will be recognized and individual team awards will be given. A guest speaker and season highlight video are in the works but neither have been confirmed. The public is welcome and encouraged to come out and salute the best Trojan football team in school history one last time. There is no admission charge to the event.
