Former Bama star keynotes Trojan banquet tonight

Chad Goss, a former member of the Alabama Crimson Tide football team, will deliver the keynote address at the LCCHS Football Awards ceremony Thursday, January 20. The event will be held at 6 p.m. at the Fine Arts Center and is open to the public. Admission is free. Goss was a walk-on wide receiver for Coach Gene Stallings. He earned three varsity letters and started for the Tide in 1997. He and his wife, the former Leah Monteith, met at a Fellowship of Christian Athletes meeting. Leah was a starter on the Tide women’s basketball team and remains one of only four players in school history to be named an All-American. Chad is now an ordained minister, certified lay speaker and highly sought after motivational speaker. He is finishing up his first book, entitled ‘˜The Walk On’, which has garnered interest as a possible feature film. For more information on the awards ceremony, contact the LCCHS office at 770-358-8641.
