Former firefighter busted for meth

Lamar deputies arrested a man identified by sheriff Brad White as a former fireman for possession of methamphetamine after a traffic stop Wednesday. Jeffrey Morris Tucker, 45, of McDonough was charged with possession of meth, possession of firearms during commission of a crime, possession of drug related objects and violation of Georgia’s seatbelt statute. ”We will follow up on all leads and encourage the public to continue to cal us about drug activity. Most property crimes are tied to illegal drugs in some fashion and we will continue to seek out thieves and drug dealers,” the sheriff said.
