Former Lamar County sheriff Larry Waller, who has battled health issues for some time, is in the critical care unit at Emory in Atlanta. Larry Waller followed in the footsteps of his father J.C. Waller, who was a longtime sheriff as well. UPDATE: Waller has been sent home with hospice care.
