BPD chief Chuck Keadle said no information will be released until Saturday or maybe the first of next week. Keadle said his investigators were still working to determine where Dixson was killed. The fact that GBI and sheriff’s personnel referred to the killing as a “city case” would indicate the crime occurred within the city limits. GBI crime scene specialist Todd Crosby was working the scene. Jamarris Williams, who was picked up early Friday, is apparently still being held for questioning in the case. UPDATE: (3:07 p.m.) Deputy Coroner Cindy Killingsworth arrived at the scene. UPDATE: (2:30 p.m.) Authorities have confirmed the body is Dixson’s. Rain has begun falling at the scene. Crime scene techs have erected a tent over the body which is located in Lamar County off the west side of Forsyth-Yatesville road just north of its intersection with Rock Quarry Road. Family members have said Dixson was beaten so badly they were not allowed to view his remains. Other reports indicate he was stabbed. UPDATE: (1:15 p.m.) A body has apparently been found on Forsyth-Yatesville Rd. Authorities have not yet confirmed it is Dixson’s although apparent family members are being consoled. The body may be in either Monroe or Upson counties. GBI agents, Lamar investigators, BPD personnel and multiple other officers are on the scene as is assistant district attorney Scott Johnston. Dixson’s vehicle had been found on Forsyth-Yatesville Road earlier. The cab was found near the residence of the Jackson family. The white truck in the case is reportedly is registered to a Chris Jackson. Authorities are looking for a 1996 Chevy 1500 pickup in connection with Dixson’s disppearance. The truck is thought to be being driven by Jamarris (Man) Williams, who is a person of interest in the case. Williams was often mentioned in the murder trial of Lakievius Eleby in superior court here earlier this month. UPDATE (11:45 a.m.): Suspect Jamarris Williams was located at a mobile home in Fuller’s Trailer Park following a tip from a citizen. He has been taken to the Barnesville Police Department for questioning. The truck which was found on Buice Rd. near the trailer park, has been secured and is awaiting processing by a GBI forensics team. The mobile home where Williams was found will also be processed. The forensic team is currently processing Dixon’s car on Forysth-Yatesville Rd. More to follow.
