Four car accident no way to end semester

With Gordon wrapping up their spring semester with exams and such it is easy to understand why students are otherwise distracted. That notion came critically true as four students and one Barnesville citizen were involved in a four-car ‘fender bender.’ ”I am not even sure what happened. It all happened too fast. Next thing I know we were feeling the impact,” says Josh Brown, one of the accident victims. According to police and fire personnel on the scene it was most obvious that the lead car was turning left off of College Drive and was at a stop. Details have not surfaced as to whether or not the driver was using a turn signal. The second car slowed to stop as did the third car. However the fourth car, a full size SUV, did not slow according to witnesses, and caused a chain reaction of rear endings. Though 3 of the 4 automobiles had to be towed away, no one was seriously injured. One victim was transported to Spalding Regional Medical Center for some standard procedural testing. The accident took place on College Drive just past Harrell Circle and Officer Mark Evans of the Barnesville Police Dept. was the first responder.
