Four LC wrestlers move on to sectionals

At least four LC wrestlers will move on to the Class AA Section B wrestling finals Saturday in Bremen after placing fourth or better in the area traditional tournament Friday at Bremen High School. Those who finished fourth or higher will move on to state. Leading the Trojans was Cedric Dumas who was second at 285 pounds. Those finishing in fourth or better and advancing were (place, weight class) Eric Cornell (3rd,106), Dylan Eidson (4th, 120) and Isaac Cedeno (4th, 220). Others who placed were Connor Eidson (5th, 132), Noah Hood (6th, 145), Wyatt Harris (5th, 152), and Gene Oden (5th, 195). Other LC wrestlers who participated were Abel Manley (112), Keith Hendricks (126), A.J. Phillips (138), Mo’naye Hepburn (160) and Chris Puckett (170). Meanwhile, the LCMS wrestlers finished off their first ever year of competition by finishing third in the League Dual Championships Friday at Upson-Lee. LCMS wrestlers were Brandon Bloodworth, Hunter Banks, Levi Banks, Cayden Sloan, C.J. Harris, Chaz Hammock, Timothy Garrett, Jadyn Tallman, Terence Pennyman and Dakota Good. Both teams are coached by Jeff Sloan.
