Franklin Pierce Lindsey, III

Mr. Franklin Pierce Lindsey III, 74, passed away at home on December 20, 2023.
He was born in Griffin, Ga., on May 16, 1949, the son of the late Franklin Pierce Lindsey, Jr. and Edith Alling Dale Lindsey.
Frank graduated from Griffin High School, Class of 1967, and from the University of Georgia, Class of 1975. He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam from October 1970-October 1971. He worked for many years in banking and in the health care industry.
Frank is survived by his wife, Mary Hackstadt Lindsey; sons Thomas Pierce Lindsey (Chelsie) of Sagamore Hills, OH and Michael Scott Withrow (Shannon) of Leonardtown, MD; daughter Kathryn Marie Anastasio (Michael) of Simsbury, CT; seven grandchildren: Hailey Withrow, Blake Withrow, Molly Withrow, Drew Anastasio, Meghan Withrow, Reid Anastasio, Emily Anastasio, and an honorary grandchild, Caroline March.
Other survivors include his sisters Alice Blake (Andrew) and Edith Eckman (William) and his twin brother William Lindsey (Susan) and sisters-in-law Paula March (Aaron) and Amy Richardson (James). Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 23, 2023,  at the First Baptist Church of Griffin with Reverend Steven Norris officiating. Friends may visit the family in the church after the service.
Private burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
