Freeman O’Neal Jr. obituary

Freeman O’Neal Jr. died July 26, 2012. Mr. Freeman was born Sept. 2, 1956 in Lamar County to the late Mr. Freeman O’Neal Sr. and Mrs. Dorothy Mae Davis O’Neal. Being reared in a Christian home, Freeman dedicated his life to Christ at an early age. Later in life he rededicated his life to Christ by joining Parker Chapel AME Church. Freeman was educated in the Lamar County school system. Freeman was a very pleasant person to be around and was very humorous, trying to make you laugh, which gained him many friends whom he cherished. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Freeman was a devoted brother, uncle, cousin and friend. Memories of Freeman will live forever in the hearts of his beloved family which includes his siblings, Ms. Barbara O’Neal, Lisa O’Neal (Carl), Priscilla Perkins, Jerry (Iris) O’Neal of Barnesville, Doris Willis, Cathleen Walton of Forsyth, Shirley (Herman) Harden of Culloden, Cathy O’Neal of Jonesboro, Tony (Wynette) O’Neal, David O’Neal of Griffin, Josephine Dumas of Barnesville and Essie Mae Millard of Macon; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Services were held Friday, Aug. 3, at 1 p.m. at Parker Chapel AME Church in Culloden. Rev. Shawn Drain officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. Bentley’s and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of all professional services.
