FUMC homecoming is Sunday

Barnesville’s First United Methodist Church, founded in 1827, will host Homecoming services Sunday, Nov. 7 at 11 a.m. Dr. Sam Coker who served as church pastor from 1960-1965 will deliver the sermon. After the service, lunch will be served in the church fellowship hall. Additionally, there will be an open house in the church’s new historical room and there is much history to share. FUMC was founded in 1827. Its first house of worship was located where the county courthouse now stands.
