After losing five players off last season’s squad, the PC Fury U12 girls academy soccer team participated in the RYSA spring classic last Saturday and Sunday in Conyers.The Fury, coached by Don Bohensky, went 1-2 in the tourney’s elite division. They opened with a 2-0 loss to the AFC Lightning Red squad. Goalie Brooke Shavers had eight saves for the Fury. In the second round, the Fury dispatched the Concorde Fire Black unit 2-1. Shelbie Bohensky and Savannah (Noodles) Biggs had goals for PC. Paige Woods had an assist while Jodi Hearn, Dakota Housman each had saves.The Fury closed tourney play with a close, 2-1 loss to the Top Hat 18 Silver squad. Livia Lanier Geiger had the only goal for PC while Shavers had four saves and Housman had two.The Fury is made up of select players from Lamar and Pike counties.
