Lamar and Pike County girls affiliated with the Fury Futbol Club U13 soccer team showed off their soccer skills at the University of Georgia Soccer Camp in Athens this week. Seven Fury players were on a 16-member team that won the Bulldog Olympics at the camp for their age group. Over 400 girls attended the camp, most staying at the East Campus Village dorm on campus. The Fury, coached by Don Bohensky, are moving up to Athena play and the full, Olympic-sized field this fall. Fury players at the camp were Shelbie Bohensky, Bean Butler, Bailie Garland, Brooke Shavers, Emily Ogletree, Hailey Hadsell and Livia Lanier Geiger. Also attending were LCHS players Sydney Tenney, Brailey Davis, Makayla Heminger and Katie Jo Daniel.
