A Lamar County alumni baseball/softball game is scheduled to benefit former high school baseball player Gavin Lance, who recently suffered a brain injury from a car accident. The game will be held Sunday, Sept. 8, at 2 p.m. at Aldora Field. All alumni who have played any sport in Lamar County of any age are welcome to take part. The entry fee is a $25 donation. Concessions will be sold. No gate fee will be for spectators but monetary donations are appreciated. All proceeds will go toward expenses incurred during Lance’s hospital stay.
