Gary Layne McIntosh

“Chief” Gary Layne McIntosh, age 63, of Barnesville, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, Ga. He was born Sept. 30,1949 in Thomaston, Ga., to the late Mr. Clifford Robinson McIntosh and the late Mrs. Ellie Legg McIntosh. Mr. McIntosh was also preceded in death by his first wife, Mrs. Doris Hanes McIntosh. He retired from Lamar EMC as a meter reader and most recently had worked at Deer Trail Country Club.Survivors include his wife Patricia of Barnesville; three daughters, Stacey (and Tom) Vanderboom of Rincon, Wendy (and Brandt) Harvil of Bolingbroke and Jodi (and Jason) Kidd of Barnesville; six grandchildren, Gavin lance, Lily Kidd, Peyton and Reece Harvil and Anna and William Vanderboom; and a special nephew, Matt McIntosh.A memorial service for “Chief” Gary McIntosh will be announced at a later date.
