Construction plans for the Military Memorial Plaza were completed last week by architect Bob Smith of Watkinsville. The plaza, to be built on the Gordon campus along College Drive in front of Alumni Military Hall, honors Gordon’s military past and its future. The pedestrian pathway of the plaza will lead from the tunnel under College Drive across the front of Alumni Memorial Hall to the proposed new student center at the corner of College and Highlander Way. On one end of the plaza, a brick wall is planned that will display the names of all students, alumni, staff and faculty who died in service to the country.
