Students and faculty from Gordon College, along with Beta Club members from Mary Persons High School, recently participated in a program for Service-STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) Scholarship, focused on environmental science. Activities involved catching and tagging fish and turtles from the pond on the Gordon College campus, training and performing chemical analysis of the pond, and learning about the mathematics of population growth. The program was coordinated by Andy Osborne, associate professor of chemistry.
