Mr. Gearld Walker Sr., age 53, who resided at 112 B St. in Barnesville passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at the Upson Regional Medical Center. The family may be contacted at his residence. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 20, at 11 a.m. from the Whites Chapel CME Church in Lamar County. Interment will follow in the O’Neal cemetery. Pastor Randy King will be the eulogist. Bentley’s Funeral Home of Barnesville is in charge of all professional services. Mr. Walker is survived by his wife, Sheila Haygood Walker; four children, Tokisha Walker, NaShae Walker, Gearld Walker Jr and Jerel Walker; three grandchildren, Iniyah Walker, Zakyra Walker and ZyJuan Walker, all of Barnesville, Ga.; sisters and brothers: Cynthia Bryant of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Linda Ellis (Tommy) of Cairo, Ill., Gwendolyn Walker of Carbondale, Ill., Vernon Walker of Sacramento, Calif., and India Walker of Carbondale, Ill.; mother-in-law, Hildred Haygood (Frank) of Barnesville; father-in-law, Mangle Haygood (Lucille) of Culloden, Ga.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Kona Haygood of Thomaston, Mangle Haygood Jr. (Juanita), Tyrone Haygood, Sebastian Haygood, Tyson Haygood, Linda Perdue (Willie Floyd) and Derick Haygood, all of Barnesville, Raymond Alford of Russellville, Ga., and Casandra Alford and Daniel Alford (Cynthia) of Forsyth, Ga.; uncle, Calvin Jordan of Atlanta, Ga.; aunts, Mildred Haygood (Mickey), Rosa Brantley (Willie) of Barnesville and Ida Bell Jenkins of Culloden, Ga.; and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
