Herald-Gazette publisher Laura Melton Geiger was elected president of the Georgia Press Association Saturday morning at the association’s annual convention at the historic Jekyll Island Club. Geiger, a fourth generation journalist, follows in the footsteps of her father, brother and husband as president of GPA.
