George A. Olivier Ph.D. more affectionately known as “Doc” transitioned on Sunday, September 25, 2022. Celebration of Life services will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2022 11 a.m. at the Bethel Baptist Church. Senior Pastor James C. Marable will be the officiant. Interment with military honors will be held in the church cemetery. Professional services have been entrusted to Trice Funeral Home Inc. of Barnesville.
George leaves a legacy that will live on in the hearts of his wife Mrs. Linda Smith Olivier of Barnesville. A son, Mr. George A. Olivier III of New Orleans, Louisiana; a granddaughter Gabriella Marguerite Olivier of New Orleans, Louisiana; sister Jill Antee of New Orleans, Louisiana; his half-sibling Tamico Casey of New Orleans, Louisiana; sisters-in-law Mrs. Betty Smith (Clifford) Banks of Barnesville and Elaine (Andrew) Woods; one brother-in-law Mr. Michael A. Smith; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, students whom he mentored, coworkers and many dear friends.
