Mr. George Fleming “Rip” Moore, Jr., age 52, of Barnesville, Georgia, passed away on Friday, November 4, 2022, at home.
Rip was born on Thursday, March 9, 1970, in Griffin, Georgia, to George F. Moore and Janice B. Moore. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Edward & Kathryn Moore as well as his maternal grandparents, Clarence & Mildred Ball. Rip graduated from Barnesville Academy; and attended Gordon Junior College. He was a member of Barnesville First United Methodist Church. Rip was an Eagle Scout and a Georgia Bulldog fan. He loved blogging about his Barnesville Academy Warriors and other football teams. Rip was the Vice President of Barnesville Marble and Granite Company and a 4th generation memorialist.
Rip is survived by his parents, George & Janice Moore; wife, Stephanie Tichenor; stepdaughter, Rachel; aunts, Audrey Smith, Jackie Conser and Kitty Woodall; uncle, Everard Ball. Several cousins also survive.
Funeral Services for Mr. George Fleming “Rip” Moore, Jr., were held on Monday, November 7, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Barnesville First United Methodist Church with Pastor Ann Mann and Reverend Woody Roberts officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour at the church. Interment will follow the service in Greenwood Cemetery.
