Mr. Gerald Passmore Sr., age 60, who resided at 367 Liberty Hill Rd. in Milner, passed away on Monday, Jan. 5, 2015 at the Spalding Regional Medical Center. The family may be contacted at his residence. Funeral services were held on Friday, Jan. 9, 2015 at 2 p.m. at the New Hope Baptist Church. Interment followed in Lamar Memory Gardens. Pastor Robert Releford officiated. Bentley’s Funeral Home of Barnesville was in charge of all professional services. Mr. Passmore is survived by his wife, Elizabeth James Passmore of Milner; mother, Doris Lawrence Barker of Atlanta; five children, Marcus Passmore (Stephanie) of Oak Harbor, Wash., Lakita Williams (Bobby) of Conyers, Gerald Passmore Jr of Milner, Derrick Passmore (Laskisha) of Locust Grove, LaTravis Passmore of Covington; 12 grandchildren; two siblings, Jeffery Passmore (Rosalind) of Ellenwood and Patricia Character (Johnny) of Decatur; sisters and brother-in-law, Samuel James (Ophelia) of Griffin, Bertha James of Macon, Cora Brooks (Roy) of Chicago, Ill., and Bessie Mae Sanders (Anthony) of Griffin; aunts and uncles, Dollie Leaks of Atlanta, Elizabeth Passmore of Miami, Fla., James Lawrence (Carolyn) of Milner, Mildred Keaton (Winston) of Vienna, Geneva Lawrence of Milner, Annie Ruth Lawrence of Barnesville, Marvin Passmore of Atlanta, Virginia Hicks and Mary Passmore of Forest Park, Julia Mae Dixon of Miami, Robert Lee Passmore (Dorothy) of Forest Park, Charles Passmore (Rita) of Decatur and Georgia Mae Thomas of Lumpkin; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
