Mrs. Geraldine Rogers Casteel, age 75, of Barnesville passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014 in a Upson County healthcare facility. Mrs. Casteel was born in Upson County on Oct. 29, 1938 to the late Mr. Walter Rogers and the late Mrs. Annie Ray Parker Rogers. She is also preceded in death by her son, Mr. Britt Casteel; and a sister, Mrs. Jennifer Gresham. Mrs. Casteel worked for General Tire in textile. Survivors include her husband, Barry Casteel; children, Robin Long (and Mark) of Barnesville, Craig Casteel (and Annette) of Thomaston, Pebbles Fisher of Barnesville and Christie Lane (and Jimmy) of The Rock: 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; brother, Sammy Rogers (and Linda) of Thomaston; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. Geraldine Rogers Casteel will be conducted from the graveside on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 12 p.m. in Andersonville National Cemetery.
