Go vote this Saturday

This Saturday, Feb. 25, the polls will be open for the first mandatory Saturday voting in the Presidential Preference Primary Election. Advance voting is being held through March 2 at the Lamar County board of elections and registration office. Hours are 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 1:30-5 p.m.During the first week of advance voting, the registration office logged 84 early voters and mailed out 57 absentee ballots. Of the latter, 28 were returned and two were rejected.Voters may view their sample ballot and print absentee ballot applications by visiting the Georgia Secretary of State’s website at sos.ga.gov/mvp.For information contact voter registrar Anita Reid at 770-358-5235.
