Goodbye, car wash; Hello, Waffle House

Demolition of the old Premier Car Wash on Veterans Parkway should begin within two weeks, clearing the way for site prep and construction of a Waffle House location. Barnesville city manager Kenny Roberts said Waffle House has gotten all of its permits and paid all associated fees. It has also sold all the car wash equipment. Premier bought the property in 2000 for $80,000. It has been through several owners since, including one development company which took a considerable loss. Waffle House bought the .43 acre site from Roger Harper for $220,000, according to tax records. The site is located between CVS and Huddle House.
