Students, alumni and friends of Gordon College now have the opportunity to show their support via a license plate on their vehicle.But it is going to take 500 applicants for the plates to be manufactured by the Georgia Department of Revenue Motor Vehicle Division.’Gordon College has a long and vibrant past and an exciting future,’ said Rhonda Toon, vice president of advancement at Gordon. ‘This is a great way for our students, alumni and friends, as other alumni and friends have done for their colleges and universities, to show their pride and support.’The plates are $25 and all funds remain with the state ‘“ the college will not profit financially. ’Except that we will have the pleasure of promoting Gordon College wherever we may drive,’ said Toon.Detailed information on the plates and how to apply is available at HYPERLINK “http://www.gdn.edu/licenseplate/” http://www.gdn.edu/licenseplate/ Applications are also available at the Community Education building on Spencer Street, just off College Drive.The deadline for applications and payment is July 31. If the minimum number of applications is not received, all money will be refunded.
