It was a beautiful morning to receive a diploma and a huge throng of people turned out to watch over 200 graduates at Gordon College receive their degrees Saturday morning. Gordon graduated some 500 students with just over 200 marching Saturday. Dr. Larry Weill, president of the college, gave the commencement address. Weill is leaving the campus for a year and will return to teach philosophy. College staffers put out some 2000 chairs for the event, all of which were filled, with many more people standing to watch as friends and family members marked a major milestone in their educational careers.
