The Gordon Highlanders had no mercy on Chattanooga State, routing them 10-0 in five innings in game one of their best of three series in the first round of the NJCAA playoffs on the Gordon campus. After a lightning delay invoked with the Highlanders up 8-0 after three, the mercy rule was invoked when GC went up 10-0 in the fifth. Game two is Saturday here.
