Gordon Theatre opens season

The Gordon College Theatre opens its season this month with the musical ‘The Spitfire Grill.’ Based on the film by Lee David Zlotoff, the production tells the story of Percy Talbot who has just been released from a five year prison sentence. Percy is trying to find a place for a fresh start, and based on a page from an old travel book, moves to the small town of Gilead, Wis. She begins living and working at Hannah’s Spitfire Grill ‘“ the only eatery in Gilead. The play will be presented at the Gordon Fine Arts Theater at 7 p.m. Sept. 28-Oct. 1 and at 1:30 p.m. for an Oct. 2 matinee. Tickets are available at the door or may be reserved by calling 678-359-5295. They are $7 for adults, $6 for those over 60, $5 for students and $4 each for member of groups of 10 or more. Coming Nov. 16-20 is Tennessee Williams’ ‘The Glass Menagerie.’ In February is Shakespeare’s ‘Much Ado About Nothing.’ The season closes with ‘Psycho Beach Party’ in April.’
