Gordon’s Jarvis Williams honored

Gordon College freshman Jarvis Williams has been named honorable mention All-American by the National Junior College Athletic Association.The 6’8’ guard/forward was instrumental in leading the 2011-2012 squad to its first appearance in the NJCAA Men’s National Basketball Tournament in Hutchinson, Kansas. In region play, Williams averaged 17.9 points and 10.3 rebounds per game. For his efforts, the Wilkinson County High School graduate was selected first team All-Region and named the conference’s Freshman Player of the Year. In the national tourney, Williams had a double-double in both games and received national attention for his performances.
