Grand jury to get high profile cases

By Walter Geiger A full docket, including several high profile cases, awaits the September term Lamar County grand jury when it convenes September 10. Atop the docket is the murder case against Jamarris Williams who is charged with stabbing local cab company operator John Dixson in the throat and leaving him to die in a gully in southeast Lamar County March 16. Jurors will also hear the cases against alleged bomb makers Seth Bennon Roberts and Wesley Robert Peters. Authorities allege they made pipe bombs and anti-personnel explosives and possessed large quantities of drugs and weapons. Also on the docket is the hit and run case against Thomas E. Lenhart III who allegedly struck and killed Thomas Norman Anderson on Hwy. 36 West overnight March 1. Investigators say Lenhart fled the scene.
