The Greenco composting facility here will apparently be shut down Friday, Nov. 11. At an early-morning called meeting Tuesday, the Lamar County commission ‘“ indicating they had never taken last week’s proposed Greenco extension to Judge Tommy Wilson at all ‘“ rejected a counter offer from Greenco and reversed the offered extension. Commissioners would not answer Greenco operator Tim Lesko’s questions about the reversal of the decision or any issue in the counter offer they had problems with. He was told that, since he had a lawyer, all correspondence about the issue must be held between his attorney and county attorney Scott Mayfield. ’There will be no more discussion,’ said county commission chairman Jay Matthews.
