Greenco hanging by a thread

With Superior Court Judge Tommy Wilson saying he no longer wanted to hear the Greenco case in his court, owners Tim and Melia Lesko could have until Nov. 11 to remove what they say is completed compost from their Lamar County facility. There are conditions, however. They must also renew a letter of credit and pay $15,000 into a related escrow account or the Greenco site will be padlocked this Friday. Judge Wilson, who visited the property before the hearing, said he would also charge the Leskos with contempt of court and set their bail at $10,000 if they did not update the financial agreement. County attorney Scott Mayfield said the county wanted Greenco out now and offered to move the compost for them within the next 30 days. That offer was turned down by the Leskos.
