Hall enters plea; to serve eight years

A former corrections officer facing with multiple sex charges entered a guilty plea to one count of sexual exploitation of children in Lamar superior court Sept. 16. Steven D. Hall originally faced 10 counts of exploitation, two counts of child molestation and one count each of aggravated sexual battery against a child under age 16 and first degree cruelty to children. He entered a guilty plea to possessing on a thumb drive a video of a boy and girl, both age 14, engaging in oral sex. Judge Tommy Wilson sentenced Hall to eight years in prison and 12 years probation. He has a search and specimen clause and is subject to sex offender restrictions upon his release. The judge also banished Hall from the Towaliga circuit and all surrounding counties.
