Barnesville businessman, outdoorsman, scout leader, movie star and all-around character Stan (Hambone) Hamrick is recuperating at Spalding Regional Medical Center after undergoing colon cancer surgery Monday. Hambone will be in the hospital for a few more days but is expected to make a full recovery, according to his dad, Junior Hamrick. ”We appreciate the community’s prayers,” the elder Hamrick said. Hambone is the proprietor of Hamrick’s Sporting Goods & Pawn. Junior Hamrick is manning the store in his son’s absence. Feel free to leave get well messages for Hambone in the comments section.
